Silvery, sparkling whiteness
In the shine of your retina
I see my reflection
Without ado
Deep in your heart.
Dust of a few day's emotions
Cleared a jiffy
At the touch of a duster
The mirror glows anew.
Months roll by, turning into years
Heat, cold, rain, wetness
Greasiness of time sticks
Creates a dullness.
Making efforts to clean
I scrub hard
Save it from breaking.
The glass looks faded
Riddled with scratches, cuts and bruises
Dotted with strains of sweat
Which continue to grow bigger
Your eyes reflect my image dimly
It's too hazy to reach the heart.
